Dr Brennan Mills

Dr Brennan Mills’ research investigates how novel and emerging immersive digital technologies (like virtual and/or augmented reality) can provide skills and preparation practice to individuals and groups required to work in high-risk environments, particularly for those that it can be difficult to provide realistic training and/or practice. Leveraging multidisciplinary expertise, Dr Mills and his research team are working on solving problems for industries that are looking for solutions to better prepare and safeguard their workforce against threats. For example, some of Dr Mills’ recent work includes research and development of a novel virtual-reality enhanced parachute simulator for Special Operations Command Army, an aggression and violence de-escalation training tool for frontline healthcare workers leveraging generative AI, and gamified alcohol and other drug education for high school students.
