QLD Tall Poppies

Leading science and technology stakeholders from Queensland were there to help celebrate the achievements of twelve Tall Poppies who were awarded by Minister Leaane Enoch. Dr Lee Hickey from the University of Queensland was named winner of the Queensland Young Tall Poppy of the Year.

Tall Poppies were first awarded in Queensland in 2001 and the program recommenced in 2009. We hope that working with universities and the Science Teachers Association of Queensland the program will increase in strength.
