A/Prof Supriya Mathew is passionate about educating community members to collect local evidence to co-design effective climate response strategies. She is currently leading several citizen science projects that are crowd sourcing air quality and temperature data for the first time in some remote Australian locations. Supriya has secured >$15M in research funding in the past 5 years. She has built collaborative networks with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and health organisations across remote Australia. She co-leads the rural and remote health theme of the nationally funded Healthy Environments and Lives network.
