Dr Cullan Howlett is currently a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Queensland.
He uses telescopes located around the world to make maps of millions of other galaxies. Gravity, combined with the light and dark components of our Universe, creates patterns in these maps. Dr Howlett measures, modelling and simulates these patterns, with the aim to understand what the Universe is really made of and how gravity has worked to change it over the last 13 billion years.
