Ranjeny investigates the role of dendritic cells in the autoimmune arthiritic condition, rheumatoid arthritis. Ranjeny’s studies have shown the potential of dendritic cells when mixed with tumour antigens, to induce a regression of a variety of cancers.
She was promoted to Professor at the University of Queensland in 2004.
